Basic Tags

<html></html>
Creates your HTML document

<head></head>
The header information for the page, not displayed on the main page.

<body></body>
Signifies the portion that will be shown in the browser.

Inside the Header

<title></title>
Use this to put a title at the top bar of the browser.

Inside the Body

<body bgcolor=xxxxx>
Sets the background color of your page using the hex values or name.

<body text=xxxxx>
Sets the text color using names or hex values.

<body link=xxxxx>
Sets the color of links on your page.

<body vlink=xxxxx>
Sets the color of followed links on your page.

Text Tags

<h1></h1> through <h6></h6>
Creates headings. <h1> is the largest to the smallest <h6>.

<font size=x></font>
Sets font size.

<font color=xxxxx></font>
Sets the color of the font using a name or hex values.

<b></b>
Bold prints your text.

<i></i>
Sets the text to Italics.

Linking

<a href="http://www.linkedsitehere.com"></a>
Creates a link to a website.

<a href="mailto:me@myisp.com"></a>
Creates a link to send you mail.

<a href="#name"></a>
Creates a link to a target somewhere on your page.

Formatting your text

<p></p>
New paragraph.

<br>
Line break.

<p align=x>
Align your paragraph to right, left, or center.

<blockquote></blockquote>
Creates an indented text.

<ul></ul>
Creates a bulleted list.
