How to Determine a File's Size in Windows

There are a couple ways to determine a file's size in Windows.

If the file you are trying to open is a document, usually you can open the document, click on the File menu, and choose the "Properties" selection. This will normally give you the size of your file. For more information on determining how big a KB or a MB is, click here.

If that doesn't work, open Windows Explorer (for more information on how to do this, click here). Once Explorer is open, find the file that you are wanting to check (for more information on how to do this, click here). Once you find the file, open the directory (or folder) that contains it in Windows Explorer. You should see every file in that folder on the right side of the screen. Click the "View" menu, and select "Details." All the file sizes should appear.
