1. Check with your vet
In a small minority of cats, stopping use of the litter box could indicate a medical problem. Have your vet check your cat for problems which may be evident with this problem.
2. Move the litter box back
If you have recently moved the litter box, move it back to the original location. Once your cat uses the box again, start moving it a foot a day until its in the new position.
3. Clean the box every day
Try cleaning the box daily or buying an automatic cleaning litter box.
4. It's in the litter
If you've changed the type of litter you're using, try changing back. If not, you may need to try different types of litter to see if that brings the cat back to the box.
