How to Create Websites with Dreamweaver MX 2004

Editing Styles

To edit a style, simply double-click it:

  1. In the CSS Styles panel, double-click the style you want to edit.
  2. The Tag Inspector opens to display a grid containing all the properties of the style.

  1. Double-click inside the field for any property you want to change, and then select a new property from the drop-down menu that appears.

For example, to change the font size, double-click inside the field that displays the current font size, and then select a new size from the drop-down menu.

The changes are immediately applied to the elements in your pages that use that style.

It's important to understand that if one of your web pages contains document-specific styles (called local styles), these will take precedence over the styles in the global style sheet that you linked to the page.
